New to our database this month is ancestry.com. To access this service you will need to drop in to one of our district libraries and jump on a computer. As they say - you don't have to know what you're looking for, you just have to start looking.

Digital media now online

If you are a member of the Queenstown Lakes District Libraries you now have access to free e-books and audiobooks online.

Visit the South Island Downloadable Zone to get started.

You'll need a valid library card to login and download media.

School holiday fun

Not sure how to keep the kids occupied these school holidays? Some of the Queenstown Lakes Libraries offer free holiday programmes.

Coming up at the Queenstown Library we have craft sessions for kids aged between 2 and twelve. We are running two hour-long programmes on bothTuesday 24and Thursday 26 January.

Wanaka Library has two programmes on offer this week, follow this link for full detail or call the library direct on 03 443 0410.

Cromwell Library has a pre-school session on Wednesday 18 January from 2pm-3pm. For the 5-10 year olds, there is a birthday cake theme on Thursday 19January from 2pm-3pm. For bookings please contact the Cromwell Library on 03 445 0213.
