 Background
The Roxburgh Library is situated in the CODC Service Centre. Julie and Raewyn job-share and are responsible for both library and customer service duties. This dual role is unique in the district, but works extremely well.
This is a great ‘wee’ library. Come in and see Raewyn or Julie anytime – everyone is welcome. We will do our very best to find your first choice read, or if we haven’t got it, we’ll get it for you from one of the other libraries in the district, or from another NZ library.
We have fabulous Talking Book & Large Print collections. Our rotating Talking Book collection from the National Library is changed every 6 weeks - it is very popular among our readers! We have a wide range of adult fiction & non-fiction books and Young Adults & Children have a comprehensive section of their own. We also have a small selection of videos and DVDs for hire.

Roxburgh Library is part of the Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes shared Library service. Services, membership, borrowing and issuing policies are consistent across the CODC / QLDC Library District.
This means users can access and borrow material from any of the other 13 libraries in the district. If an item is not in the district we will try to “interloan” it from another library in New Zealand. Just ask a librarian for assistance.
New Books
New books are available to read as soon as they are processed and released into the library collection. They are displayed on shelves at the entrance to the library.
New fiction books are ‘rentals’ for 12 months, then become free-fiction. These are marked with a red sticker on the spine so very easily found.
